An update from the crew

George and Caitlin are experiencing very strong winds (25 knot crossing headwinds) but continuing to row forward as best they can in the conditions. Many boats have dropped their sea anchors so that they can wait for the winds to die down. Winds this strong make it seem like the crew is rowing through cement. Below is a snapshot of how the winds are affecting the crews. It kind of looks like tangled up Christmas lights, right?
