Mary Emily is a recent graduate of Villanova University School of Law. She is currently pursuing a Master of Laws in Taxation from Villanova. Mary Emily graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Marketing and International Business. She will serve as a general advisor to The Cranial Quest and aid in the marketing and communication of related events.
Sonya is a self-made ocean rower, adventurer, and environmentalist. She rowed across the Atlantic in 2011 and has worked since then to promote things she is passionate about including: citizen science, modern exploration, sustainable fishing, sustainable energy, ocean health, and adventure for all. Sonya is our main contact for everything ocean rowing related. She is an amazing resource and we are very excited to have her on our team!
Frank Poliafico, RN is an Emergency Nursing and EMS System pioneer and former Director of Emergency Medical Services for New York City. Since 1980 his private training enterprise (now known as Emcare Consulting Group) has been applying the relevant advances of emergency medicine and EMS to the needs of industry and government agencies on land, at sea, in the sky and on the rails.
Throughout the 80’s and 90’s he served as a consultant to the United States Surgeon General and contributor to the USPH publication, “The Ship’s Medicine Chest and Medical Aid at Sea.” A dynamic and award winning speaker, Frank is a frequent presenter at state, national and international EMS, health and safety symposia. He authored the textbook Emergency First Care (Brady/Prentice Hall) and has published numerous articles and papers on safety, health and emergency medical care.
Mary Emily is the current Board Chair at Holy Child Academy, Drexel Hill, PA. She was a past Board of Directors member (2000 to 2010) for Family Support Line, Media, PA. In the 1990’s, she served as Board Member of Springfield Library, Springfield (Delaware County), PA. Mary Emily has been a leading fundraiser at local schools and organizations in the Philadelphia Area. Her focus will be to fundraise on behalf of The Cranial Quest and support her son, George, as he rows across the Atlantic Ocean.
